Thoughts from a busy mom….

Welcome and thank you for being here and showing your support for our puppies and our page. As some of you know my part time job is a Wedding Photographer in the Phoenix Area. As much as I LOVE being home with my animals. I also LOVE capturing people’s love stories. From their engagement session through their wedding day and sometimes beyond. I would not be able to do all that I do if it wasn’t for the support and help of my amazing husband. Sean and the kids hold down the fort and take care of puppies on weekends when I need to shoot. It’s kinda the best of both worlds. Whether I am busy serving people or busy taking care of my puppies and kiddos, I am happy. I Can honestly say I LOVE my life and will never take any of the opportunities in my life for granted. Your puppies are our top priority. And I want you to all know that Sean and my kiddos take it just as seriously as I do. Your puppies are always in good hands. We rarely go anywhere all together because there just aren’t very many people that we trust with our animals. If we plan any short vacations we try to do it between litters. Please know that even if I get behind on photos and emails at times, I will get caught up and I am doing my best to balance family and work. My kids are rock stars for having to be so flexible with sports, puppies, selections and helping on the ranch. Due to how busy we are, we will no longer be allowing visitors to the ranch other than on Selection days. We do not have time during our busy weeks to stop everything and have random visits. Please ask about selections dates or check our website reserve page. Dates will be posted. We look forward to selections this weekend for Eva and Topaz puppies.  We can’t wait to start getting photos of all these puppies in their new homes! See some of you very soon!!!

Introducing “Daisy”

Daisy is a full sister to Eva and Laura! Guess you could say we like to keep it all in the family 🙂 She is almost the exact same size as Laura but is a little darker colored and has more white on her chest!

Carley got to go with Sean to pick her up in L.A….. what’s a trip to L.A. without a trip to the beach??

Also, guess what!???  Daisy was ovulating when they picked her up! We will have Aussiedoodle puppies November 14th from this adorable pair! Daisy has already had one litter of puppies and guess what else. She raised 8 beautiful purebred poodles!

Check out these beauties! I think her Aussiedoodles will be just as adorable! Check out Daisy and Topaz’s RESERVE LIST  If she doesn’t come up pregnant or have very many babies.. you can always transfer to another litter. We have lists started all the way into next spring!

We will be posting more photos of Daisy once she has her photoshoot!

We have puppies!

It’s been a whirlwind around here. As you can see we did have some puppies but NOTHING went as planned.

Laura ONLY had ONE puppy this go around. Macie didn’t have ANY and Eva had 7 beautiful healthy puppies. Since Laura only had one puppy, we decided to put a couple of Eva’s puppies on Laura if she would have them and she LOVES them just like her own. Now her singleton wont get too much milk and Eva’s littles will have plenty!

Letting everyone know the bad knews is never something I look forward to. Although it’s common; it’s still hard to know how to handle it. I do believe things happen for a reason and I also believe that it’s God’s plan for nature. Nature’s way of giving these mama’s a little break was probably necessary.  I love and respect my amazing mama dogs and don’t expect to get a large litter every time.  Even knowing that, the disappointment is hard! But for me.. I am with puppies often and I know the waiting process for my customers can be even harder.  So, I want to thank all of you for being so patient and understanding thus far.  That’s what finding the right puppy is all about anyway. Being patient for the right match and having faith that everything works out.

I love what my Bible says about things working out!

” And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose”     –Romans 8:28

I have done some updates to our website. Please look around and learn the new menu. Make sure you follow our Instagram page and watch for behind the scenes photos of puppies and more current updates. We also love to share photos from our past customers so please keep the puppy updates coming!

Puppies growing fast….

It’s so hard to believe that this round of puppies are already getting so big! Laura’s litter will be graduating to new homes before we know it! I just wanted to update everyone with a little information on all that is going on around here. This may be a long blog post….

First off…. We had a TON of company the last month so with that comes a lot of running around and planning so that someone could be with puppies most of the time. As they get older we can leave them a little longer but I still don’t like to if at all possible.  I also didn’t get much time for video and photos on Laura’s litter so since everyone got jipped on that I will go ahead and try to get a 6 week photoshoot done of those 5 tomorrow. BUT my kids all just started a new football league so I will have to work around their new schedule.

Maggie from Laura and Topaz is still available after selections. She is such a sweet thing! Would do amazing in a home with children I believe. She loves my kiddos and so gentle and little. She shouldn’t get taller than about 14 or 15 inches.

Maggie- SOLD

Macie’s litter selections were today. We just wrapped that up around 4 o’clock and I have to say I am just so thrilled with all the families and puppies. I think we did so well matching the right puppies with the right homes! We really look forward to watching these guys grow up and would just love it if everyone keeps in touch and continues to send us photos of their beautiful aussiedoodles.  We love to share past puppies for all of our future puppy customers. With your permission we will share both on our website and our Instagram feed.

Mini Aussiedoodles have got to be some of the cutest puppies in the entire world. Each and everyone is unique in it’s own way. It’s always so fun to watch them grow and change.  We are excited about the future of all of these babies. Some will be forever companions for children and retired folks alike. Some will do agility and be trained to do many amazing things. These dogs are so intelligent… with consistent training and lots of love these pups will be so much fun to watch learn new things. They learn tricks surprisingly fast and they are very treat driven. Most times it only takes showing them something 2 or 3 times before they figure out what you want.  I encourage everyone with a new puppy to get enrolled in puppy obedience training.  Even if you have a lot of training experience, puppy classes are great for continuing their socialization.  My only pointer on that would be to wait until your puppy has completed it’s puppy vaccine schedule to make sure they are protected from harmful contagious diseases. Same goes for dog parks.

Eva’s puppies are doing well and are just now starting to play with each other. I will try to post more snapshots and cell phone videos leading up to selection day but I will wait as long as possible before taking their 5 week photos.. probably the day before selections.   You will see more of a change in what they look like.  Also, will post last minute videos when I can start seeing more personality. At this point the videos don’t show much more than a bunch of cuteness. 🙂   Hang tight and we will help you through this process.   I will be scheduling the selection times about a week before hand.

This week I plan to start booking airline tickets for Laura’s litter.  Just a FYI- United Airlines is who we use for cargo shipments.  We have tried working with other airlines and they have all given us trouble due to not having quality air control on their transport vehicles. United Petsafe is the ONLY program that will let us fly puppies no matter what the outside temprature.  Please trust us on this choice. We want your puppy to have the best and safest experience possible.  We still will not ship a puppy if it has a temperature or it seems sick at all! Puppies will have their last shot here at 7 to 7.5 weeks depending on when it ships out.  We will be giving all puppies electrolytes, vitamins and probiotics to help them on their stressful transitions whether they are flying or being picked up.

One thing to expect before bringing your puppies home is that they may be nervous and stressed due to being away from their home and litter mates for the first time.  We do not always have time to crate train each puppy before they leave.  So, we do our best to make the transition as stress free as possible.

Please do not hesitate to ask us questions.  We will contact everyone about pickup, flights and meeting locations as time gets close. We will focus on one litter at a time. This week I’ll be focused on Laura’s litter for scheduling their trips home.

Thank you to all of you for being so amazing and giving all of our puppies such wonderful homes! ❤ ❤ ❤

PLEASE be careful and informed before vaccinating your pets. Once you get your puppies home your vet will want to do vaccines again at 12 and 14 weeks.  I do NOT vaccinate against LEPTO and here is WHY…..    a lot of the combo vaccines include Lepto. So be careful and please read this article before making an informed decision.

Crazy Weekend

Hey guys, just a quick message to let you all know I wont be in my office at all over the weekend. I will try to get new photos of Eva and Laura’s litters posted early next week. Monday or Tuesday! I have some projects I need to get done around here and I have a wedding to shoot on Sunday.  I will also be posting a few more video clips to Instagram and then hopefully a more in depth video for the website next week!

Thank you all for being patient! We have never had this many puppies at one time and there is definitely a lot of care and cleaning going on.  As the puppies get bigger it will get even more intense.  My children are already giving the puppies plenty of socialization and attention. Hopefully by 5 weeks we will be ready to share some helpful information on their personalities!

Please forgive me if I forget something. I have a lot of emails coming in and am doing my best to keep everyone’s files up to date! It gets a little confusing when I have people on multiple lists. As of right now if you are on Macie’s list.. I have your file in her folder since Macie’s selection day is going to be first!    If at any time you want to drop off of a list before then, please let me know as soon as possible.  Otherwise we will be in touch a day or two before selections!  Also, if you are in the number 1 spot and you already know which one you want.. please also let me know ASAP. I have some very inpatient and excited customers.. (to be expected 🙂   I try really hard to be 100% fair!   I  do not show any favoritism or give any special benefits if you have already bought a previous puppy from me! Everyone gets on a list in the order of their communication!  I try to answer emails and phone calls in the order that they come in!!  All deposits are non-refundable as stated in my contract but remember if you don’t get the puppy of your choice at this time… it is very much worth the wait to transfer to another littler or a future litter from the same parents!!!  I waited a LONG time to get my Topaz and I am so glad that I was patient and waited for the perfect puppy.  We could not be happier with our stock and we hope that you all enjoy your babies as much as we do. These are truly special dogs and we will do our best to match the right puppy with the right home 🙂

Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions or concerns. Thank you ALL for your dedicated interest in King Family Ranch!

Also- NOTE that we changed our email.. so if you have been emailing kingranchkennel.. please  email  so I can get my emails organized all in one place.

Here are the dates again for  Selections and Adoption days! New video’s will be posted on the litter pages on my website a day or two before selections!

babies… and more babies….

Whew. this last week has been quite eventful. While Macie’s puppies were only 5 days old our Lady decided to go into labor 4 days early.  Thank goodness I noticed her change in mood early that morning and things moved along quickly. All 6 babies were born early in the day with no complications. Gorgeous litter. We couldn’t be happier. I will be holding off on advertising this purebred litter.

But here is Macie and her Aussiedoodle puppies at 5 days old. We moved them to a bigger pen. Everyone is doing GREAT. They all had their dew claws removed and I am posting their new photoshoot tonight! Go check under “Available Puppies”

After Lady was done delivering her litter.. why Laura decided to go into labor. I had my eye on her all morning too.. as even the night before her temp had dropped and she was a little restless but I wasn’t quite sure.. I guess that would have been early labor.  BUT all the day while Lady was laboring Laura was very quiet and slept a lot. It wasn’t until right when Lady was done that Laura really started to get nervous.  We could then see her tummy contracting and proceeded to prepare her birthing area.  It was about an hour later she finally started the process. Everything went well. Here pups were a little bigger than I expected so I did assist a little.  When a bitch has less babies, the babies seem to be bigger. When a litter is larger, the average size may be a bit smaller.  I couldn’t believe I was having two litters in the same day. Even though my sister (who also breeds) says, that always happens to her when she has litters close to the same dates. One goes, and then another shortly after. Crazy.

So, with three litters on the ground. It’s an understatement to say that I was busy. Even after both litters were all safe and sound and comfy in their beds… my nightly duty had just begun. I moved my recliner to the dining room and decided the only way I would get rest would be if I was close enough to puppies that if I heard one in distress I would wake up and be right there.  So far all the moms seem to be doing there jobs taking care of them but it’s very common that moms lay on their babies. So, I keep an eye on that and also making sure everyone is nursing and warm.

The next morning–July 31st, Eva still had 4 days to go but she decided to go into labor as well! I was really hoping for a break between litters, to get caught up around here but no such luck. lol  Puppies come when they come whether you’re caught up on sleep or not! Eva started laboring and by the time I checked her temp, she was already at 99.4.  I think it was only a couple hours later that she finally popped out her first one.. and when I say popped she really just popped it out and she didn’t make a peep! I was expecting some noise as all the other mothers made little squeals when the first one came.  She was so quiet the whole time.  There was a little more time between puppies with her (on average.. 30 to 40 minutes instead of only 10 or 15… occasionally I’ll have an hour or more between puppies but that’s not the norm for every puppy or every birth.  But I mentioned that to say… it was like she knew it was taking too long. At one point she rolled over on her back to change positions, she bared down and popped one out with her feet straight up! It was the funniest sight! But it works! How awesome is that! She knew she had to try something different.  Anyway.. to our surprise she had 8 gorgeous puppies. Definitely more than we expected!  My Daughter Carley was right there with me.. even catching some of the puppies as they came out.  I have to say we make a great team! And as hard as it can be.. we love every minute of it!

Please keep checking our “Available puppies” tab… I will be posting individual photos of each puppy on their own litter page at one week old.  There will be a drop down menu with the names of the parents.  i.e. Macie & Waylon will be posted first.

We can’t wait until they open their eyes and we can start to see their personalities.

Let us know if you have any questions about up coming litters. With this many puppies on the ground my days will be much busier, so please take the time to navigate our website and learn as much about us and our puppy program as you can. We look forward to meeting more of our future puppy families and  helping to pair our puppies up with the right families.  The puppies will be changing so much in the next few weeks so I suggest you don’t get too attached to any ONE… as the new photos in the coming weeks will really start to show their individuality. Keep watching my instagram feed for video snippets and more random updates 🙂

Stay tuned and goodnight!
